POLICIES
Please read before placing an order.
Placing a Custom Order
All custom cake and cupcake orders must be placed at least 7 days in advance. Wedding cakes must be placed at least 30 days in advance. Due to limited availability, we recommend placing all orders 14 days or more in advance. Custom cake orders placed outside of the stated time (7 days) or need to be picked up outside our operating days (Sun-Tues) and hours will be charged a rush fee of $50, with no exceptions. If we are fully booked and we still allow you to place an order, a $50 squeeze-in fee will be applied to your order. We require custom cake orders that are placed less than 7 days before the event to be paid in full at the time of order, whether through our website or by invoice sent via email. Custom orders $250 or more that are placed 14 days or more in advance can be paid in full or will have the option of a non-refundable 50% deposit and the remaining amount will be due 3 days before delivery or pick-up. The minimum amount eligible for deposits is for orders totaling $250 or more. We DO NOT accept deposits for any orders under the stated amount, with no exceptions
Placing a Regular Order
All other orders (regular cakes, and cupcakes) must be placed at least 5 days in advance. Please note basic cakes are SEASONAL and are not offered on our menu year-round.
We DO NOT offer next-day or same-day pick-up and delivery
options.
Cake Consultations
Cake consultations are not recommended or required for cake design categories offered on our website or for orders under $250. If you would like a consultation and your order is under $250, you will be charged a fee to schedule. We offer free consultations for cakes over $250 with unique and extravagant designs and wedding cake orders. You will still be required to text all information regarding your cake's customization because we must have all details in writing directly from the client.
Cake Sketch Request
We DO NOT provide sketches for cake orders that have not been booked. Sketches are only provided for cake orders that have been confirmed and booked or upon request of the client.
Cake Design
All designs we create are authentic and original, we do accept inspirational photos for clients who have a particular design in mind. Please understand we will not precisely duplicate another cake artist's design, with no exceptions. Photos are only to be used as inspiration ONLY.​ Also, we cannot guarantee the same color matches however, we will try our best to match any colors requested.
Payment Options
We accept all major debit and credit cards, Paypal, Zelle, and Cash App. We DO NOT ACCEPT CASH.
When checking out, ONLY select the cash option if you plan on paying via Cash App or Zelle. If you select the cash option and have not paid for your order via Cash App or Zelle within 1 hour after checking out your order will not be accepted and will be canceled.
Deposits
We do accept 50% deposits for orders booked 14 days or more in advance and are $250 or more. The remaining amount will be due 3 days before scheduled pick-up or delivery.
If you would like to pay a deposit please select the cash option at check out and note on your order and you will be sent an invoice via email.
All other orders that are under $250 are required to be paid in full at the time of booking, with no exceptions.
Wedding Events:
For wedding events, there is a mandatory and non-refundable $150 deposit to reserve your date, and the remaining amount will be due 2 weeks prior to the delivery or pick-up date. You will not have the option to make periodic payments. We only provide cakes that serve up to 65 guests.

Refund Policy:
At L A Custom Cakes we take pride in our baked goods. Due to the nature of our food products, we do not offer refunds. If you are unsatisfied with your order, immediately notify us on delivery or pick-up and we will try our best to accommodate you. Funds will be credited for a future purchase with no additional add-ons.

Online Order Cancellation/Changes Policy:
L A Custom Cake understands that plans change and we will gladly assist you in making changes to your order date and time. We accept cancellations/changes by phone or email (labakedsweets@yahoo.com) Custom and regular orders that are placed 14 days or more in advance must be canceled 7 days before your scheduled pick-up or delivery date. ALL orders placed that are canceled will NOT be refunded, the funds will be used towards your next purchase.

Pick-Up Policy
TIME IS A VALUE TO US - Clients are to schedule a date and time for the pick-up of their order. Pick-up orders will have 15 minute grace period from the time scheduled for pick-up. Cakes are kept refrigerated until pick-up. If you need to make time changes please let us know in advance. If you arrive late/ past the 15-minute grace period without notification we will no longer be responsible for any damages to your order and there will be no refund or funds used towards your next purchase. Orders that are not picked up will NOT be credited to your next purchase.

Delivery Policy:
All items are available for local pick-up, as of now we only deliver for wedding events or for orders $250 or more. We are not responsible for any damages to goods once the order has been delivered or picked up. Orders that require delivery and cannot be delivered due to the customer’s wrong information or availability will be taken back to L A Baked Sweets and stored until further notice from the customer. Should you require a future delivery date, you will be held responsible for an additional delivery charge. Because of the nature of our business and our quality and freshness assurance, we will dispose of any cake, cupcake, or baked item that is not picked up or delivered within 48 hours after the due time and you will NOT be refunded due to the above regulations.

Copyright policy:
At L A Baked Sweets we have our own style of cakes, we do accept picture ideas however, we will not duplicate anyone's work. Please understand that we take pride in our craft of handcrafted cakes and will do our best to make your vision come to life.

General Disclaimer:
At L A Baked Sweets we have your health interest at heart and we recommend you consult with your medical specialist before eating any sweets. For any customers that have any form of a medical condition, food intolerance, or food allergies please be aware that most of our products contain ingredients such as milk, eggs, gluten, and/or nuts. L A Baked Sweets will not be liable for adverse reactions to food consumed or other items an individual may come into contact with while eating any of our products.

Cake Safety Disclaimer
Before consuming cakes with any large add-on decorations such as flowers (fondant, gum paste, and fresh), figures, and non-edible decor please remove them. Some of our cakes may have toothpicks or dowels in them so PLEASE be careful when consuming our products and remove them before eating.

Food Allergy Disclaimer:
L A Baked Sweets makes every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies. However there is always the risk of contamination as in our kitchen we use products such as milk, eggs, gluten, nuts, etc., although we have strict cross-contamination policies we cannot guarantee a total absence of these products in our kitchen or baked items.

L A Baked Sweets respects the privacy of all of our customers and does not give out any information. When you order with L A Baked Sweets you agree to allow us to share pictures of your cake and/or cupcakes on all major social media platforms (Google, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter).
